I finished this before bed and had to sleep on it before writing any reviews. This book would have been closer to 4 stars except that I was absolutely frustrated and disillusioned by Duchess. I understand that some books have hard characters, but I truly could not support or begin to like her storyline. I understood it, but truly did not like it. About halfway through, I seriously considered DNFing the book based only on Duchess, and again around 75% through but I continued reading primarily to

find out if Vincent was innocent and if so, if Star's story and death were resolved

. I am glad I read to the end, as I was glad to see the resolution for every other character, however I disliked Duchess so much that I had to take off 3/4 of a star.
