Can't even pretend like I know enough about this book to write a proper review. I have a quote written down, but even that can't leave me a clue. One day, when I re-read the series, I'll be able to go back and edit a real review.

I have mixed feelings about this book, mostly because of the characterization of 14-year-old Merrick as some kind of seductress of 50-year-old David. I get that their relationship develops from that. But the sole acknowledgement of that sexual attraction on David's part was disgusting, as well as the knowledge that David likes them "young". In addition, the constant mention of Merrick's breasts at the most random times was unnerving to the least. I hope there are no more books narrated by David-a character I used to like-, because I haven't enjoyed at all being in his mind.

I think I read this book last year, but I couldn't remember if I'd read it until I started reading it. And then I kept thinking I'd get past where I'd stopped reading it. Well, I read the whole thing through, and it was ok.

I thought I would have forgotten a lot of the plot about Lestat and Louis, but there were plenty of reminders in the book. It was an ok read.

It read like a journal, like David is telling / writing these entries.

Takes place in Louisiana but also you travel to the Jungle, so that was interesting. I also like how the Author mentions the Mayfair witches and Claudia makes an appearance too.

It was a nice read, overall.

Well this one was better than the last one! I liked Merrick, she was an interesting character. Of course I liked David too, and Louis, I've been waiting to hear more about Louis since the first book, Interview with the Vampire. The narrator, Graeme Malcolm, was much better in this one than the last one, so that helped as well.
