How funny I had this book on hold at the library for a long time and finally got the download only to read the first chapter and realize I have already read this. That's the beauty of Goodreads.com for me it's helpful to tag these books so I don't make this mistake again.

It's funny the second time too though so worth the wait.

Reread on April 2023 (still enjoy, but 3 stars of the wallflowers. Don’t like the paring as much as the others): this one is just ok. I get enough enjoyment out of it to give 4 stars, but it’s not super enthralling. I think Annabelle is meh. Kind of annoying that she wouldn’t consider Simon cos he’s wealthy working class, and her mom had the nerve to turn up her nose even after Annabelle married him. Like bitch, now you don’t have to fuck Hodgam. Get over yourself and hang out with the redneck, but heartwarming family. Ugh, and even tho Simon was all jokes about the bank account, still sucked he married her despite thinking that’s all she wanted. Just so he could get regular pussy.

And all the boring fluff in between drama and spice. I zoned out so much.

Only worth the read to set up for Devil in Winter.

Frankly, there was too much time spent setting up the wallflowers. Their stupid shenanigans together. I guess it was required to know all the women as the series goes on, but I enjoyed Devil so much cos it has barely any scenes with the other wallflowers.

It’s just alright, a fluffy audiobook when you need a comfort reread.

Ok the ending really brings it all together. I like Annabelle by the time she and Simon realize how much they love each other. I totally forgot she goes into the foundry to try to save him

Meeh it's good. Too much focus on money and status. End is kind of rushed.
Mr. Hunt is a beast.

"I love you, dammit.”
She brushed her lips teasingly against his. “How much?”
He made a slight sound, as if the soft kiss had affected him intensely. “Without limit. Beyond forever.”
 “I love you more”
