This book cover had been eyeing me at the library. I did not realize it came from a series, but that did not at all inhibit me from enjoying, or understanding, the storyline, coming in hot on book number 8... Now I'm curious to see what other investigations Longmire got himself into in the previous books and if it's worth reading through the series, or if "As the Crow Flies" is quite simply a good read to keep on its own.

Watched the series and decided to read the books - they are always better. Started with this one found in a coffee shop free library

Might be my favorite one so far (I think I've said that before...). Really solid mystery with several likely candidates for the bad guy (or gal). More Henry and less Vic makes for a better story, I think. Lolo was a great addition and the supporting cast is excellent. On to the next!

Another story that is very formulaic, but also has some very good imagery and stuff you don't see in the genre. Probably okay as a standalone, but with a really cheesy, TV ending.

Loved this -- a great mix of character depth, lyrical writing and intriguing mystery.

This is one of my favorites in the series so far. It's both laugh-out-loud funny and touching.
