The book starts out well, but I got a little tired of the writing style toward the end. Other people may love it though.
I would read the book fairly soon if you're interested before the technology becomes out of date. Even if the technology is almost all theoretical.

Received a review copy of the first three chapters of this book on Netgalley. Will update when I read the rest of the book.
The authors blended current science with prediction and humor. The best part of the research is the interviews they had with exhibits in the field. The cartoon asides brought a lightness to what could (in other circumstances) be rather dry.
***Finally read the rest of the book and it was as enjoyable as the first three chapters. If you enjoy technology and want to read where current cutting edge tech might lead, this is a great place to start.

Good and in-depth look at futuristic technologies. The audio version was pretty good, but I think Eric Idle would have made a better narrator. This was a pretty-good narration, but a Python would have made it sensational.
...Plus Eric Idle loves science!

Funny and easily comprehensible takes on the near maybe futures. Did not make me feel any better about the relationship among science, resource extraction, and human rights.

This is all really interesting information delivered at just the right level of complexity. The humor, frequent section breaks, and cartoons made a great book for reading just a couple pages at a time on lunch breaks.
I'll be repeating the ruby red grapefruit fact at people for months.

The best, clearest lay science writing in recent history. With cartoons. Highly recommended for absolutely everyone.
