Loved it

Absolutely loved this book and the characters. The plot was brilliant with lots of steam and laughter. It was great that they didn't immediately fall into bed and there was a lot more to it. With his two amazing little girls.

I loved this book. A ranchers heart is a spin off of Vivian’s Coleman series introducing a new family of cowboys. Tamara Coleman was fired from her job and needs a new start. Caleb needs a nanny for his children since his one sister is traveling and his other sister is with Jesse Coleman, their story is the last in the 6 pack ranch series.

I laughed, I cried I loved. Amazing book.

So this was sweet, slow burn. A little bit of hotness but late. Up to that it was a nice family story with the nanny and father lusting silently after one another. The end ramped it up and made it definitely worth reading.

What a wonderful start to this new series by Vivian Arend!! The characters are all interesting but not perfect. The 2 main characters learned about themselves and each other through the book in a positive way which was fun to read. The remaining characters are just as important to the story and I very much look forward to reading more in this series. I want to go back to the ranch and see how everyone is doing and how Walker’s love adventure happens.

3 rancher stars!

Hmm, this book was just ok. It was typical of a Hallmark-worthy story. Sweet and predictable. I found myself wanting to do other things than finish reading the story.

SpoilerCaleb is a single dad, raising two sweet girls and running a ranch. Along comes Tamara, who is trying to find out what to do with her life after being fired from her last job. The setting of the story sounded beautiful.

There was no major angst to this book, just a pleasant story on two people healing, living and finding each other.

Vivian Arend’s new series spins off from the long-running Six Pack Ranch Series and sets up a passel of ranching brothers who are about to find love, whether they’re looking for it or not. Caleb Stone is finding it difficult to juggle being the head of his family, running their ranching operation, and raising his young daughters. He’s hoping that bringing a full-time nanny on will relieve some of the pressure. It’s too bad the undeniable sparks between himself and strong-willed Tamara Coleman threaten to upset his peaceful world.

Tamara comes to Heart Falls needing a fresh start. With her nursing career in tatters and caregiving in her nature, it doesn’t seem like a bad idea to take on a nanny position for her new cousin’s nieces. Tamara and Caleb are both really great with Caleb’s young girls. Tamara is a bit of a nanny whisperer and she’s able to form a bond quickly with the girls by being firm but also by listening to what they need and treating them with care.

This is a slow-burn nanny-employer romance with a couple in their thirties who pretty much fall in love before going on a single date. Tamara is feisty and stubborn and she likes to get a rise out of stoic Caleb. Caleb is somewhat reserved and repressed and he struggles with emotional confrontation. He’s also still reeling a bit from his dreadful first marriage. Caleb and Tamara’s relationship is all about finding a balance between her tendency to meddle and his tendency to dig his heels in. They’re good balances for each other.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and and I’m always excited to see more sexy contemporary westerns. I’ll admit that I got a bit behind on the Six Pack Ranch series once it started spinning off into romances for the Coleman cousins, but this new series is easy to hop into. I’m not sure that I’m super interested in the plot of the next book, but I am positive that I’m interested in a whole bunch of other romances set up here. More sexy cowboys, please!

A Rancher's Heart is the first book in the Heart Falls series, which is a spin-off of the Six Pack Ranch series about the Coleman clan. We first met the Stone clan in Rocky Mountain Home, and I knew I wanted Caleb's story as soon as possible. I'm so glad he was the first member of the Stone clan to get his story.

Caleb has had a rough life when it comes to romance. His ex-wife honestly can only be described as a heart-less bitch in my opinion. She was absolutely horrible to their daughters and equally horrible to Caleb. Enter Tamara Coleman, who is the polar opposite of Caleb's ex-wife. She is absolutely wonderful with his girls and from the very beginning it is so apparent how much she cares about them all.

There really was a slow build up to the romance between Caleb and Tamara. Partial because he was afraid of repeating his past and partly because they both put the girls' needs above their own. I think part of the reason I loved both these characters so much was the fact that even as they wanted each other pretty much from the first moment they saw one another, they still made sure the needs of the children remained their main priority. I think if Caleb and Tamara had jumped into a relationship too fast, I wouldn't have bought into them as a couple as easily.

A Rancher's Heart was a great start to the new Heart Falls series. I found myself wanting to know more about each of the Stone clan much as I had the Coleman clan in the Six Pack Ranch series. Fans of Vivian Arend are going to be in heaven with this new series, and new readers of Ms. Arend will want to start reading her back list as soon as they finish reading A Rancher's Heart. I highly recommend A Rancher's Heart to readers of contemporary romances.
