The writing style wasn't for me. The point of view character, I think, was supposed to resigned but witty? Whatever the tone was did not translate well for me. (I also don't tolerate being given every trivial thought a character has). I can appreciate unlikable characters, but not when they are also uninteresting. There were interesting things happening around the main character or interesting things in the character's history but not so much for the character's worldview, personality, thoughts, actions, etc.
