I wish I could read this book for the first time again, and feel all the feelings I had then. This is my second time reading it, and I remember how the giddiness and sadness and anger literally consumed me. This did still send me into a (temporary, I assume) MCU hyperfixation phase.

I love Theo. I love how Theo and Loki's relationship wasn't rushed, that it didn't become something unrealistic at the end. I liked how Loki didn't want to become a better person either, because when nobody will ever see you as that, what's the point? All I wish is that Loki wasn't overpowered a million times in the movies...

Amora was realistic. I don't know anything about the comics, but she's a naturally "bad" person. Being banished for something not wholly your fault to a land where you cannot reach your soul - it makes a girl desperate. Amora and Loki's relationship was never strong. The ending made sense.

Speaking of the ending, it's not happy or satisfying. It doesn't leave you content, but it's meant to be like that. I feel hollow. I wish Odin hadn't made up his mind about Loki, hadn't used him his entire life. I wish Loki had people who loved him unconditionally and without Odin holding them back. And I wish Loki was able to reach his full potential as a sorcerer, because even in the movies, I don't think he ever really did.

This book was good. It's easily rereadable as well, and you don't need to see the movies or care about Marvel at all to enjoy reading this. Having said that, people who love Loki are obviously the target audience. It's basically just published fanfiction, and if you aren't a fanfiction girlie, then I will not hear you out for low ratings of this book. I am a fanfiction fangirl through and through. I love it.

I feel I’m very biased with this one because Loki is a favorite of mine and I enjoy many stories about this particular Norse character.
I found this one right in line with my feelings for Loki. It was well written, I enjoyed the story, and I enjoyed hearing another view of Loki.

I love the author, and I love superhero stories, so It seemed natural I would love this one.

This book kept me entertained at worst, and grinning with glee at best. Though this falls a bit short of Lee’s other books for me, I still enjoyed the adventure.

Found it entertaining but was a little underwhelmed with the character developments. Loved the sheiks reference though!!

I received an e-galley from Netflix in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

"Loki: Where Mischief Lies" is the story that explains WHY Marvel's Loki does the things he does. It is a story of prophecy and whether or not the actions we choose can lead to or away from what seems to be predestined. Choice is central to the plot and we see Loki make one bad choice after another until at last he becomes exactly who he is at the beginning of Thor... the Trickster, the God of Chaos... a villain.

I really liked this book. I thought it was wonderful to see Loki at a stage where his future could have gone another way. I liked his indecision at certain points, his fondness for the humans and his fluidity in appearance and who he is attracted to.

I give this book a 4 out of 5.

I was super excited for this book, but it truly was a let down. Loki isn’t Loki. Though he presents himself as a troublemaker, they’re hardly more than childish pranks and not enough for Asgard to truly despise him as they do. Lee’s effort to keep Loki’s master plan under wraps, just causes him to look sporadically written. None of the characters feel like themselves.
