I was expecting this book to be pure smut with a little bit of plot but I was pleasantly surprised when it wasn’t. The spice was phenomenal and the chemistry and need between Dahlia and Lucien was palpable. I liked the plot just as much if not more than the smut and I found that it all gelled really well. I finished this book in a couple hours and I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series.

This is a very good book, and both these authors really make a tasteful world to be in, even if It is fictional

Holy smokes!

I am running to book #2! This book has hooked me and it's so beautifully written. The plot, the character development and the spice. It's all perfection and I can not wait to see what comes next.

This was okay, premise was fine but the whole story felt rushed, we didn’t see much relationship development, didn’t really see Delilah actually work through her trauma, got no real answers about Lucian’s family, there was no crescendo of the drama with his ex wife so I don’t even know why she existed at all - this also made the choice to have the whole ‘she’s gonna lie about being abused’ plot line feel super weird - never saw any outcome with her relationship with her mother or see her meet Lucian’s sister. Very much felt like a novella or side story and not a stand alone romance.

The smut scenes were immaculate, Lucian was very cute
Dahlia’s trauma just felt really misplaced for me, it didn’t feel real. I couldn’t feel pity for her or connect with her in any way
