This caused a week long reading slump for me. I finally powered through because I am very interested in the next book.

I couldn't stand Feyre in ACOTAR. Whatever growth she went through, she reverted here. Hypocritical, mean, and lacks understanding/compassion. Not only to Nesta, but Elain. Elain is not a child w/o agency.

I also don't appreciate the storyline with Tamlin. Don't get me wrong, I've hated the guy since ACOTAR but
Rhys's family also murdered some of Tamlin's, right? And Feyre DID sabotage the entire spring court. Tamlin is not the only one suffering from that consequence. Also, she's a High Lady, she's going to have to involve herself with High Lords! Feyre, darling, you're gonna have to finish the paperwork and do more than socialize - ya know, what you mocked Lucien over with his Band of Exiles?

Oh, and this weird jealousy she has with Lucien and Nesta not being closing / living with them is giving big culty vibes. I need Nests to go with Cassian to Illyrian territory, and Elain needs to get with ANYONE OUTSIDE OF IC.

Frankly, the stench of sex from Rhys & Feyre might be enough to keep me away. Y'all need your OWN house, god damn.

Bleh.

this cutie patootie ranks #5 in the series, not because it was bad at all! like most everyone else says, it is kind of a wrap-up to the main storyline. like the bow on top, or a holiday special episode of a show that got really intense for a while
