It is a good book, it took me so long to read, it was really difficult to get into/stay interested because the original characters are long gone. Not sure if I will finish the series as I almost DNF’d this one, and have DNF’d another book in this particular series

I have to say that as much as I love Anne in all her forms, this book was my least favorite. That's mostly due to how heavy some of the topics of this book are and the lack of the characters of Avonlea.

These books are becoming more and more a piece of my heart, the more I read them and re’read them. Anne is no longer a mere character to me, but a friend, a “kindred spirit”. ❤️

Am I getting emotional? Yes.
