A cute coming of age story that takes a traditional high school senior YA book plotline, but through the perspective of Effie, a wheelchair user. I enjoyed the story, but I wasn't a big fan of the narration which made me drag my feet.

Effie's character brings a great edition to this story and I enjoyed reading about the differences in accessibility in two colleges she is applying for. Loved her friends and budding crush in this as well.

It was really fascinating and such a good book. I love that this book is out there, a ya novel focused around someone who uses a wheelchair. The protagonist Effie is a high school senior, dealing with all things being a high school senior does plus she's in a wheelchair. In her own words, Effie being disabled means that there's so much more thought that goes into her every day life, being in a wheelchair. High school friendship, romance, what college to pick ensues. I really loved that there is a book telling this story. I do not use a wheelchair, but am super glad I've read this book, and it gives me more appreciation and acknowledgment about how this world is really set up for able-walking people and most people probably never think of what accessibility does a place have for a wheelchair user.
