“There’s more than one way to survive”
I really enjoyed this book, and I liked how we got to see the POV of the witch as well as the princess who is cursed. I found myself dying to know what happened next! The ending was shocking in a brilliant way, I was not expecting it at all but I think it really added something to the story!

Despite my library marking this as YA, I would categorize it more as middle school aged due to the simplistic writing style and simplistic exploration of themes (though they are serious and potentially triggering). A thinly drawn novel with not enough charm to keep me engaged despite its flaws.

I got about 46% of the way into this book and decided it’s not for me. I am obsessed with the cover, that’s what initially caught my eye. The plot seemed very promising but I just don’t think I’m the right audience for this book.
It deals with a lot of issues and I was hoping for more of a fairytale adventure types story. Not an awful book just wasn’t quite what I was looking for.

This is not a good book. This is an important one. It's a book filled with difficult topics and the feeling of watching your hero become someone you never really knew. It's about losing faith and losing yourself.
Ever Cursed is not a good book, but it is a relevant book. It was a hard read, each new page bringing more heartache and uncomfortable memories. But it describes so many important moments from a survivor. It touches on topics that books with Princesses shy from.
