I had to read this for school, so I wasn't very into it (I had to annotate each chapter and do assignments on it), But overall a classic.

I read this in 9th grade and it was very interesting plot-wise, but I preferred The Odyssey.

In the meantime, quite a few men I know love this book. Maybe they find Pip relatable? While I do think this book is one of Dickens' strongest in terms of construction I think he should have stuck with his original ending and I *still* think it's overrated. I will try it again one day to see if I like it any better, but I just love so many other Dickens' books so much more than this one (even if they aren't as suitable for teaching in the classroom...).

Still, Miss Havisham is pretty iconic, so an extra star for her.
