I enjoyed Beach Read! I loved the characters Gus and January. there were many memorable moments that were both sweet, funny, sad and lighthearted. It felt like a wave of emotions, appropriate to be called Beach Read. What January went through after her Dad's death was a topic I feel people can relate to in a way that keeps you soft in the heart in the best ways. What Gus went through with his Dad is also relatable but in a harder way that makes for a good balance. I recommend to all slow burn, second chance readers out there.
