Mazey Eddings. I wish I could give you a kiss for writing this beautiful story.

Harper represents so many of us silently anxious people. There were many times I had to stop and take a break because the descriptions of anxiety were so heart-wrenchingly accurate it was almost triggering. I mean that with THE upmost respect. I’ve never felt more seen than I did reading Harper’s story, and it’s such a perfect representation of what anxiety and panic disorder feels like every. Single. Day.

To all the people who picked this book up in hopes of seeing themselves: you’re not alone.

As someone who struggles with anxiety, I appreciate the representation so much. I also did have a hard time reading the main characters inner dialogue and it didn't put me in the best headspace, so read with caution if that is something you also struggle with.

I did enjoy the overall topic, I have never read a dental themed romance and did enjoy the characters even if they were all very frustrating at times. I am looking forward to continuing the series.

Major content warning for a main character with intense anxiety.

This was my first read by Mazey Eddings, and it definitely won't be my last! This one had a lot of the qualities I love in a rom com, and it was hard for me to put down!

🦷 Rom Com
🦷 Meet cute
🦷 Dental school
🦷 Mental health

What I loved:
🩵 Personal connections: I had random things in common with both Harper and Dan that definitely made this book special to me! I related to each character in different ways.
🩵 Chemistry: I loved these two together!
🩵 Girl group: I thought the friend group was a lot of fun, and I liked how they brought Harper out of her shell. Excited to read more about them in the next of the series!
🩵
Dan's career journey: I feel like switching careers isn't talked about enough! I was really happy with how his journey played out.

🩵 Mental health rep

What I didn't love:
🩵 Harper definitely drove me a little crazy.
I felt like she was giving Dan some whiplash at some points with her friends/lovers dilemma, and I felt bad for him. It also made me angry when she didn't get help for her mental health for way too long, but I'm glad this was amended at the end.
