definitely a little cheesy at times as other reviews have mentioned, but that only added to me liking it. I went into this with little to no expectations and I think that overall helped because I liked it way more than I thought I was going to. I enjoyed the anxiety representation and the discussions that are had regarding Harpers struggles with it. I do wish there was more of a discussion between Harper and Dan at the end about the things that were said to one another rather than automatic forgiveness because they love one another, but I they do seem like the types to have that kind of conversation so in my mind it just happened off page.

This book!!
🌶🥰
It had me on a chokehold the entire time, love blooming on all the pages. Finally a book with a good anxiety disorder representation! The quotes and writing was beautiful, will definitely be picking this up again to browse for ideas for my own book, and also to fall back into the pleasure of meeting the characters again. You grow to love them all, with their different personalities and traits. Harper and Dans love is out of this world, with Judy (Harpers giant cat) adding to the cuteness of it all. Recommend a thousand times! And
the love between Alex (Dan’s roommate), and Thu’s (one of Harpers bests friends) love story, it sweetens the plot even more /
This book was funny, sad, tense, and extremely romantic. Every page had me drooling for a love like theirs, and with a
happy ending/
I will definitely be reading a brush with love again.

The description of anxiety here is deft and complicated, and the understanding of grief is compelling, but the reliance on repetitious cohesion and separation made the tension feel somewhat truncated. Did I guess the ending— yes, did it make it less satisfying to read it at the end— not really, I was still glad to see these two end up together! it felt pretty well earned.
