Libraries are magical places — even for those who don't realize it until they've already sucked you in. Beatrice has one such experience at the library.

A mildly amusing tale of a tot converted to library fandom. There's no explanation why a kid who so easily fell under the spell of storytelling should have hated libraries in the first place.

Fostering that initial love of reading. Sibling relationships.
Might be fun to pair with Beatrice Gets Carried Away & compare the two Beatrices.

The issue I have has ROCKING 70's illustrations. No cutesy dogs.

The kindergarteners weren't wowed by this story, though they did recognize it as a "circular story". I think it's cute.

Such a fantastic read. I loved the illustrations. I loved how the book is about libraries. I can't wait to share it with my niece!

I used this book as a study in characters---how do we know what characters feel. It's super obvious to adult readers, but a good example for first graders. Went along with our curriculum and it was really cute.
