• Thoughts:
I liked this book better than the first book of the series. I liked the instant attraction, yet I felt It was a slow build as well.

This was my second time reading this book and it was even better this time around. I did the audiobook which was so good. The narrators captured Honor and Ethan perfectly. I love a single dad romance and this one was great. The storyline was unique and I loved the cameos from the 707 guys! Can’t wait for more of this series.

Book 2 in this Next Generation series focuses on Ethan, who became a single father at age 16. Eight years later, he is a cop who is fiercely protective of his daughter and has had no room for relationships in his life.
Honor is on her own after losing both parents, and has no relationship with her step-father and step-brother. She has cut ties with them and needs a place to stay.
They have an uncomfortable chance meeting, and then Honor shows up at his door as a potential tenant for a room he is renting. Thus their relationship begins.

There is romance, a strong sense of family, action, danger, and ultimately a HEA.

I really loved this story! It shows the reader how assumptions and lack of communication can really damage relationships. I loved listening how Honor and Ethan had to work through so many of those issues. It felt realistic and relatable. There are some predictable twists in the story, but a few that surprised me.

Devon Grace and Troy Duran did an excellent job of bringing these characters to life. I am so thankful that they were cast for the entire series, and look forward to hearing more from them.

This book along with the whole series is one of my top rereads. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve read it I enjoyed so much. I love how the relationship between Ethan and Honor develops. But my favorite is Carson. I totally recommend this book.

Ethan has to make some serious & life changing choices at the beginning & that sets up the rest of his life. Everything he’s done since he was 16 has been for his daughter…until Honor comes in to their lives. He now has another person ho he loves ‘bone deep’. He struggles a little but he quickly realizes he needs to get his head straight!

Honor!! I absolutely love her devotion to Carson

I enjoyed Ethan and Honor's story. I loved getting more glimpses of the Lennox family and I'm excited to see what happens next.
