It's so hard to judge anthologies, as the writing and art varies so greatly between series, but three stars seems appropriate for the whole collection. A-Force Presents gathers up the amazing series of Black Widow, Ms. Marvel, Thor, and the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, while also having the greatly-written-but-unimaginably-ugly She-Hulk and the greatly-drawn-but-unimaginably-unreadable Captain Marvel. It really feels like the two "worse" series dominated the others for me, considering I've already read Black Widow and Ms. Marvel.

Captain Marvel's series introduced far too many characters and plotlines within just six issues, like it was trying to set up a whole new team without purpose. It was trying too hard to bring about a convincing and moving political and social issue that just didn't work out, and given the fact that the problem could've been solved in a much easier fashion (noted in the comic), it was hard to get involved at all. She-Hulk's art improved in the last two books, but the first four issues just put me off the series because every character looked like a bug, with incredibly inaccurate facial proportions and expressions.
