I think about this more than I ever thought I would. I also didn’t realize Howard was based off of Frank Lloyd Wright.

The fascinating thing about the Fountainhead is that that you almost - almost - see Rand’s point knowing very well that it...doesn’t really make sense.

This book is nauseating.

Not for everyone but I found it inspiring

Ugh! Way too preachy for me! It would have been nice if at least one of the characters were likeable. If it hadn't been your high school book club selection, I would have abandoned it. I highly doubt that any of our students will actually finish it.

I love Ayn Rand’s writing, but I think a lot of her concepts and points were a bit muddled in this book. Atlas Shrugged conveys similar concepts more clearly and with character motivations that are better fleshed out.

For example, I never understood Dominique and Roark’s relationship. And Ellsworth Tooey doesn’t make sense either.
