Delightful. This was everything I needed. Light and happy, with just a few absolutely fire sex scenes, all backed up with some seriously kickass plot points. At first, I thought the book was going to feel a bit overboard with the tropes, brother's best friend, second chance romance, and secret marriage, but all those tropes seriously work for these characters and their history together. None of the tropes feel thrown together, this is the story that Tallahassee and Gates were meant to have, their first 'relationship' was wrong place wrong time and they had to come back together later.

If I stay Tallahassee will end up hating me just like everyone else does.
And if I go, he'll hate me too...
Fuck my life.
I huff at myself to keep from breaking down in tears and finally slip the ring off my finger. There is someone a hell of a lot better for Tallahassee than me. (8)

Second chance romance is one of my least favorite tropes, but I liked it here because their history was also tied up with the brother's best friend history it wasn't all about their failed relationship attempt. Another pet peeve I normally have with second chance romance is lingering feelings/mistakes from the failed relationship being left unresolved or getting resolved in a single emotionally blown up scene, that wasn't the case with this book. All of their lingering emotions and mistakes are resolved, but slowly over time with a very natural feeling of relationship progression.
