Pre Teens- One Star
New Teens- Two Stars
Early High School Teens- Three Stars
Older High School Teens- Four Stars
My personal Rating- Two Stars (and a half)

This wasn’t my favorite by this author, but I do plan to try out the rest of the series.
Jeff and Christiana were both ‘meh’ characters for me in terms of their thoughts and actions. The romance was completely the main focus of this book with the both of them determined to only be friends, panicking that they like the other, and misunderstandings. Both main characters had flaws to make them more realistic, but for some reason it came across as 2-Dimensional to me? They weren’t my favorite, but I appreciate how clean this book is. That’s always nice. :)

The Bake Shop is my first Amish literature, but it will not be the last one. I know very little about the Amish culture, and it intrigued me to find out about the Amish culture. The Amish remind a little bit of the Ashkenaz ultra-orthodox Jews with the difference in the use of electricity and the women and men from a certain age are not allowed to touch each other.
The Bake Shop is a very compelling book. It has the elements of forgiveness and faith is included throughout the novel. It's appealing chapters, memorable settings, and interesting friendships that are mixed in such a way that creates an uplifting experience.
The Bake Shop has the right amount of charm, struggle, and also romance. This book is a foodie-book that I read that doesn't have recipes. Well, it might be because I got through Netgalley for an honest review.
