This book took me forever to read and felt like it fuckin draggedd (spoilers)

Nate was okay. V sweet and honestly carried. Anastasia annoyed and pissed me off 90% of the time

And then of COURSE they end up gold medalist/stanley cup winner soon soon after like be real

Why didnt she go solo as soon as Aaron started dicking around?????

I did like Henry but that was the whole point which makes me like him slightly less

This was entertaining but the writing was a little clunky for me at the beginning. Also I love a good trope but this tried to squeeze all of them (from near death experience to ex boyfriend to trauma to shitty father) in one book so none of them felt developed. Just felt like some moments would have been more impactful standing alone rather than being mixed in with 3 different plot stories at the same time.
Also, please can the pregnant and engaged two years later epilogue die a horrible death - just leave them in college omg.

Roses: This story had moments of great communication and cute bits of romance that college kids could realistically do for one another. I thought the two main characters' relationship was full of great sex-positive conversations that made you feel comfortable reading their spicy scenes. I always feel like in these spicy college-aged romances, one person is always the "more experienced" and seems to dominate the other in a way that does not feel great reading it. I also liked the female main character was able to be so assertive with her wants and needs in her relationships. It was great to see strong female and male friendships that may have once been sexual still be friends once that has ended. I love that this was dual POV! I think it's fair to say that this story does show the struggles of seeing the opposite of what is right and how to work through it.

Thornes: This still read really immaturely and, in some places, was a little cringy. I have been saying this for many books lately, but why are we jumping so fast into love?! I mean, this one is a little different because it starts more sexual, but still afterward, it turns into a full-blown into this is love and skips how they became best friends to lovers. I want to see the relationship grow into the loving relationship we see towards the end of the story.

oof  where do I begin???

First, let’s talk about the premise. They all have to share a ice rink because the other one has been vandalized. OK fine what I don’t understand is why Anastasia was so mad at Nathan off rip.

Like, she said that he lied to her and she hates liars… OKAY this man just met you. He is under no obligation. To be honest with you about something that is private. And why is the whole team trying to get her good graces like who made her the queen of Sheba?

I try to stay for the spice, but the spice scenes were not even that good. It was so cringy. This book has no redeeming qualities, it’s a literal garbage

Like that whole sequence, when they’re in the uber, which I thought was gonna be actually good because how many types of people reference that page number.. I will take Dante and Vivian’s limo  seen over this, and Vivian literally licked up her own juices, which is so fucking discussing. That should go to show just how much I hated this book.

I will say the one time I actually kinda like the spice was win Anastasia was giving Nathan head, and then they got to fucking and it was back to just garbage.

Like I feel like they were trying to do a enemies to lover, but I’m not even convinced they were ever enemies. It was giving strangers to lovers. Actually strangers to fuck buddies. There was zero chemistry between the two main characters and I gave no shits about what was going on in their life I was not invested at all.

My people were talking about how they want to Nathan in their life, generic white boy, who has like some level of human decency. Like there was nothing remarkable about him. And I like how the author keeps mentioning the migraines that triggered me too. I think that’s another thing that pisses me off about this book.

Even Robbie and Sabrina, the two side characters I mean they seem to have a bit more chemistry than these two characters. Also what is with Sabrina being changed to a girl named Lola in a different version of the book that’s kind of weird like I hope. It’s because Muslims were mad about horrible representation and not  white people being mad that there was a Muslim character in a book.

Anyways, I felt like I threw JJ it like that one tiny sliver of a scene where they were talking during the speed dating round. I felt the tension between the two of them like it was cute. Kind of disappointed he wasn’t the main love interest.

I fucking hate Aaron,  Why is this man, policing this woman’s eating habits???

Are yeah I try to finish the book just to see why I was so popular, but I’m just gonna accept the fact that this book was not for me. Ironically, there was another hockey Remaz that I also just fucking despised. Maybe I just don’t like hockey romances. Or sports romances for that matter like I’m not into it

I couldn't love it more!

This book was soooooo so so so good. The characters. The dialogue. The story. All of it was such a beautiful breath of fresh air. I LOVE good communication and this was EVERYTHING. I flew through it. I can't wait for the other books in this series.
