Queen of the Dawn by Kimberly Loth is book four in her Stella and Sol series and is the final book that brings to an end to our time in Stella and Sol. This book picks right up where things left off in book three. Ari is dead, murdered by Raaf, in his attempt to kill his sister to thwart a prophecy that he himself will die. Zwaantie wishes to mourn the loss of the man she loved and the life she will never have with him but she cannot. The changes have already begun in the kingdoms and she must rise to face them or be destroyed. The magic in Stella recognizes the change that has occurred and now Zwaantie must step up and shoulder what is going on. Her brother goes on the run and into hiding but the fight is far from over. The Voice will never stop until it has accomplished its goals. Secrets will be revealed, lies will be told and the truth will come out but how many will suffer before it is all over?
Queen of the Dawn is literally a roller coaster ride. I started and finished the book in the same day that I started it and didn’t put it down once. Zwaantie and Leo are thrust back together after the death of Ari but they must come together if they are to make it. Zwaantie has a secret and she needs for Leo to help her hide it but will he even be willing after all the times that she has hurt him? In this book we really get to see Leo’s bitterness towards Zwaantie show itself time and again. But then we also see that he truly loves her becomes in the innocent moments he shows his love is deeper than anything. They both have lost so much in their attempts to bring the two kingdoms together to save the people it’s heartbreaking.
Raaf is a force to be reckoned with that’s for sure. I really love how the author takes the time to give us some back story into Raaf’s training to become the next Voice and we even get a glimpse into how it was created. This story is truly fascinating and grips you from go. With each turn of the page you wonder who will be next. You wonder if another character that you’ve come to like and cherish will be the next to fall and no longer be a part of.
With each book in this series the story gets better and better. Each time I think “Oh this one is my favorite” the next comes along and takes its place. Queen of the Dawn is the book that will shake the whole series up and when the dust settles everything will be as it should be, one way or another.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. For me it’s truly a good book if it grabs me and has me finishing it in no time flat. Kimberly Loth has done a fantastic job with this series, and while I am sad to be leaving the lands of Stella and Sol I have enjoyed my time there and will revisit often. If you have read this far into the series then PLEASE grab this book and read the epic conclusion. You won’t be disappointed. Two thumbs up to the author.
I received a copy of this book for review and will most definitely be adding it to my collection to complete the series.

What an epic conclusion to this series. I am not sure how to express my love for this novel. The characters are so intriguing and continue to grow. It was completely heart-wrenching to read.

Zwaantie finally comes into her own and becomes queen of the world. But in order to keep her kingdom, she will face trial upon trial, and deal with the ones she loves risking their lives for her. Will it all be worth it in the end? Read the complete series to find out.

Seriously. Read them!
