I loved this in the beginning. It was full of cute and cozy slice of life vibes with a decently cute plot. About a third of the way through, I started getting annoyed and bored with the characters. About halfway through, I flat out disliked them and felt like I was reading about young teenagers instead of fully grown adults, and the plot was more than tedious. Around the 70% mark, I was flat out mad and this turned into a spite read.
The conflict was entirely made up and completely inconsequential to the actual plot. The constant mental flip flopping was just annoying pretty early on and it was resolved without any actual communication or resolution other than insta-love kiss. There could have been actual meat in the plot but it was like the author was afraid of getting too heavy.which doesnt make sense when the "baby dragon ritual" was just putting a baby in a helpless and pitentially dangerous situation and making the parents watch them figure it out. Without any sort of ceremonial set up or explanation of why they were doing it, so it just felt like a hard 180° pivot away from the cozy vibes super late into the book.
This felt like a first draft where characters and plots were still being fleshed out, or like the author was afraid to commit to delving in too deep and dealing with consequences. It was just... off. I really, really liked the premise and setting. But this really didnt land for me and Im pretty sad about it.

Cute plot, cute setting, lovable characters. However, the writing was a slog for me. There were so many mundane moments for no reason. Things like
“He decided it was time to cook dinner. He cooked himself a quick dinner. When he was done cooking, he ate dinner.”
Not an exact quote, but not far off.
There was also a lot of repetition of basic info in very similar sentences chapter-to-chapter.
The writing felt geared towards middle grade, while the plot felt mostly YA, and the characters were early 20s.
Didn’t hate it, but I’m unlikely to continue the series.

Woof badly written. Don't mention dragon racing if you aren't going to include it. Boring
I picked this because it seemingly had that light-hearted cozy vibe but one chapter in and I realised it was one of those books that are just too cozy, if you get what I mean. The only good thing I can find to say about it is that it described the settings well enough to make it easy to visualise.
I wanted to mark this as a DNF after just a few chapters but it was easy to read, if extremely dull, so I gave it a chance and kept going but I just got past the halfway mark and I'm ready to call it.
There honestly isn't much substance to the story. Any conflict that arises is swept away as a non-issue a few pages later, hardly anything significant seems to happen, the writing is overly simplistic, the characters are all underdeveloped and lack any depth, there is an abundance of telling instead of showing and, worst of all, it has one of my most hated tropes - insta-love.
And I love dragons in fantasy books but this is just...not it. Like some other reviewers have mentioned, it's like a book about training dogs but they're being called dragons.

Perfect fluffy, lighthearted romance; best vibes!
DNF. I enjoyed the idea of this book - owner of a cafe for dragons wants to own one and starts to train one for someone else and sparks fly. I got just past halfway through and life is too short. The only conflict so far isn’t even a conflict and fizzles within minutes. And why do the rich people who own dragons not have to pay for the damage they do like any other pet owner?
The writing is very simplistic, and tries to appeal by using slang, like calling the baby dragons “draggos”. Basically, like many other reviews have stated, the story is a contemporary romance with puppies and the author has called them dragons..
