This was the most magically beautiful book I’ve read in a long time. It was such a simple and easy read. I loved how well the characters communicated with each other. That being said, I felt the MMC often said too many cheesy things, or often spoke things I have a hard time believing a guy would say. It often felt as though he were just there as support for the FMC, I would have liked to see more about him and his life. I also felt the ending was a bit rushed and almost felt like a middle grade book when the rest of the book was definitely adult material. All to say it was still beautiful and worth the read.
lighthearted medium-paced

Cute and cozy but some elements of the story could be cringey and from the 75% mark onwards it did feel a little rushed

As a lover of Dream Harbor Series I thought that the Baby Dragon Cafe would scratch that same itch of a cozy, cute, easy romance to help with my reading slump...yet the book felt more like a child's story than a cute adult romance. The plot idea itself was exactly what I love in cozy romance and the dragon aspect made me think it would fall into more fantasy than contemporary but the dragons could easy be replaced with dogs or cats and the story would be the same. The wording was elementary and there were no real problems than weren't solved with a sentence. The ending was wrapped up in a few pages and felt rushed and lacked stability. It felt like the author was trying to make the MMC 10,000 different tropes without successfully making him one at all. It felt rudimentary unfortunately and I think her previous works writing YA fell into this book; it wasn't adult. There was no real substance and the writing was cringy and not cute.
