The first DNF of 2025
I requested this through NetGalley of course for the dragons! Exciting!
But, after struggling to get into it, I have to give up after the first two pages. I know! I should give it a chance, but life is too short.
The phrasing of sentences are too confusing and this is on the early pages! Where was the editor??
And also, because of the use of the word doggos...urgh... I love dogs but people who say this are annoying and (according to another review) she keeps repeating this word so I'm thankful I didn't get any further into reading it.
It also seems like the dragons aren't going to be the focal point of this story so...What's the point? I thought I was getting into a cute romance with more focus on cute dragons somewhere...this doesn't seem like this is what we are going to get.
Fantasy readers. I would say give this a miss. Don't get dragged in because it has dragons.

Too much romance, not enough baby dragons. The two mains could NOT stop thinking about how attractive the other was. It was in every other thought they had. To the point of long tangents away from a simple conversation. It got painfully tedious very quickly.

Very sweet, but a bit clunky. Alot more tell than show. The resolutions of the conflicts were really anticlimactic. But a cute enough read.
