gorgeously written and so lyricially plotted, the transition between scenes feel like butter they flow so smooth - I think this would've been 5 stars if I was a Shakespere girl but I didn't connet to the Hamlet of it all due to my own lack of background

This book took on the absolutely Mammoth task of tackling language in Hamlet in an interesting way and landed it like Simone Biles. Incredibly nuanced and emotional look at history and family. Everything I wanted it to be and more.

I wish I knew more about Hamlet, I often felt like I was missing obvious symbolism due to my lack classical theatre knowledge.

That said the book did an incredible job at showing the lives of Palestinians and their day to day trials while simply trying to live.

Learning more about these struggles through the eyes of Sonia felt approachable and real. I learned quite a lot and will definitely be recommending it to people

This book is so so so so so so good. Like many novels about Palestinian diaspora, intergenerational trauma and its impact on family relationships is a prominent theme. And so is the joy and liberation of collectively creating art. I loved so many of the characters, and I loved the experiments with form and dialogue, too. Free Palestine!
