This was so good, I don’t know why it took me months to review. I already know this will be one of my favorite books this year.
Beautiful composition, balancing the fun time travel adventure romp with more grave issues and ideas.

As an EFL speaker, I really do not understand why everyone is complaining about the vocabulary in this. The style of narration fits the MC perfectly and your reading flow isn’t hindered by not knowing exactly how the rain is falling.

The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley

I enjoyed the I book so much I consumed it in a single sitting however it wasn’t quite a 5 star read for me. It felt like it was trying to do too many things- fish out of water comedy, thriller, time travel paradox. forbidden romance- and as a result I felt like I didn’t get enough of any of them.

I am interested to see what Bradley writes next
4/5

Okay, I enjoyed reading this book...I liked the mix of historical fiction and sci-fi, I thought the sex scenes were surprisingly hot, and the humor was dry which always gets a laugh from me. For the anime watchers reading this, it's a slice of life for sure. The ending was kinda roughshod... not a happy ending, not a sad ending, potentially a cliffhanger for a duology if she wanted. Ultimately an interesting concept and I'm glad I read it.

This was a quirky and strange story, but I enjoyed it.
