Came for the witty romance and time travel, left with an overwhelming sense of dread about the climate crisis. If that's something that keeps you up at night, I cannot recommend this.

There are times where I felt lost but overall a very strong book. There’s obviously lots of media surrounding time travel, but rarely one that takes a deep dive into what significance time travel may hold culturally.

I generally enjoyed the story as a whole; however, the last 20% of the story, truly the plot-dense portion of the novel, was incredibly rushed. The verbiage was somewhat pedantic (even considering that characters were from different centuries with different language). The novel would’ve been better had it not tried to touch on so many genres.
