If you enjoyed Braiding Sweetgrass, you will almost definitely enjoy this! Understanding connections to water, and the connection that water brings us to other organisms around the world is so incredibly important and I am better for having read this book.

A thought-provoking read touching on themes of love, community, interconnectedness, and renewal as well as the impacts of racial capitalism, and colonialism.  It also made me step back and reflect on how much we take clean / fresh water for granted, and exactly how devastating it would be not to have access to this in unlimited supply.

such a necessary read! pls!

Theory of Water is regenerative and fresh in its approach, weaving fiercely tender personal stories, Nishnaabeg teachings and traditions. This work is radical, and worlding, and offers us a path forward and against capitalism and the violence of settler colonialism, guided by water as an embodied practice.
