This is a slow moving but not story. Maybe because there is a lot going on. There are the issues with Nora's family/former pack, issues with hunters and Cevons past, and new issues with essentially a kidnapping ring. They do connect i think but the way it's told with so many pov it's hard to keep track at times. Then we have the mental health aspects and pack relationships and there is a lot going on.
It works though, we get to know bits more of each character and they are all diverse group. Some come off as assholes a lot. Malichi and his thoughts on mental health are rather abrasive but more realistic than the constant acceptance of characters like Fin. They all have their good and bad. They are fairly well rounded in this.
The plot has some tension but with the multiple issues it bounces quiet a bit.

This was a truly great Reverse harem. I loved all the characters and how everything came together .i do feel like ending was a little rushed and I feel like few things were left unsolved. However I know there are more book in this world so I am hoping it will come up in their stories.

This series is definitely more about mental health, second chances at life, overcoming trauma and your past, and so on. Sure, there's some smexy scenes occasionally, but I find that especially in this book, they're mostly fade to black. That used to drive me crazy back in the day, but this story is not about that, and I think if you read this far into the series, you'll understand that and not mind. The plot and characters' growth is so much more important and is the main focus.
Micah and Malachi have to reach out to a couple of people from their past, and while neither of them, especially Malachi, wanted to do it, it ended up helping them heal parts of themselves they didn't realize were still hurting so much.
Cevon is able to get his revenge on those he marked on his list all those years ago, which led to something so much bigger than they expected. All of Nora's mates came together to help take down the threat and solidified their own bond, especially the one between he and Atticus.
By the end, everyone in their pack found the happiness they were looking for.
There's other stories written or going to be written about a few of the other women in Nora's life, and I may check one or two of them out!
My only critique is that there were a few more spelling errors in this book, especially towards the end, but there's still not enough to make me want to remove a star.

how can a book be over 800 pages and have so little going for it
Nora's story is about to be concluded. This book was everything I need. This series was everything I need. The way everyone came together and was able to find happiness makes you know there is always a way out of whatever is holding you down. This series left a lot of clues of spin off and I'm here for it.
