A good, page-turner thriller that is enjoyable despite some difficult to believe elements.
How far would you go to get your family back? To prove you never committed the crime that you spent 9 years in prison for.
Heather Vernon had to do just that, she needed to work out how to prove her innocence that she never murdered her beloved husband and took him away from their two young boys.
Heather was sentenced to 18 years in prison, she served 9 and she knew when she got out she was going to prove her innocence; she just didn’t realise how much it would take and what the heck she would uncover in the process.
The Mother is set in Bath/Bristol area of Somerset, a place close to my heart as I am a proud dweller of Somerset. This initially struck well with me a sense of familiarity allowing me to really picture Heathers journey. T M Logan knows how to write a captivating thriller and keep their readers hooked until the end. I can honestly say I never saw the end coming; it was an incredible twist and one that made my enjoyment of this book even greater.

Didn’t enjoy this one as much as The Holiday but there were enough twists and turns to make it an enjoyable thriller.
so suspenseful. v good story. the justice/injustice was well depicted
The best by far that I’ve read by this author. Gripping from the start. Looking forward to his latest.
