The Mother / T. M. Logan

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I wouldn’t normally jump straight into something from the same author I just read but this was for online book club and I had nothing in the pipeline in terms of audiobooks so cracked into it straight away.

Easily my favourite Logan book. The Mother just sits right.

So check it, framed for the murder of your husband the MP, Heather is released from prison with two goals - find out what really happened to clear her name, and reunite with her sins.

From there it lifts off, but in a much better way than the previous ones I have read. Plenty of interesting characters, distrust (or mistrust?), and red herrings. This kept me on the edge throughout.

Heather while not overly sympathetic is a great character that you do end up routing for as she comes up against hurdle after hurdle.

It read well, and just as you were thinking they should move on they do.

Liked the setting, and Owen is a top lad.

Overall, my fave Logan so far. Aim to do more.
