Freud's an idiot. This biography of da Vinci just further proves why Freud's theories have been largely disregarded in recent years, well, except for in the arena of literary criticism. Who knows why that is.

A fun read, if you don't take it to seriously. The relation to vultures and gods of Egypt was interesting. But early psychoanalysis is homophobic in the weirdest of ways and today we can just accept that Leonardo da Vinci was gay and that's okay.

Besides the fact that what Freud said about Da Vinci is true or false (his sexuality), I enjoyed the journey he took us on with him, moving from history to art in a psychological analysis frame.
