This book was just okay, I never really connected with any of the characters.

Each book in this series is better than the last. To say I loved Liam and Emily’s story is a vast understatement. Brittney absolutely delivered a truly amazing story filled with raw emotions,
Intrigue, suspense and fantastic storytelling.

I love how the characters from previous books are present and continue to grow and develop beyond where their stories left off.

I received an ARC copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. This book is 5++ stars.

Lady’s-man-Liam Evans has been told by almost everyone to stay away from Sarah’s friend Emily Summers. But he is just drawn to her and can’t get her out of his mind. While in Vegas, celebrating her best friend’s Sarah marriage to Liam’s Team member Owen, they do a “Ross and Rachel” and get drunk/married.

Liam and Emily both have pasts that make them never want to settle down and get married. Even with their reluctance to settle, they both don’t jump and sign the papers to get an annulment.

Liam and Emily’s world collide professionally when Liam’s Team rescue a little girl from a drug cartel and Emily is trying to put that drug cartel away. The two of them work together to find out who wants the little girl while also fighting their growing love for each other.

Brittney really played with your heart in this book. I found myself tearing up then full on ugly cry. I felt the pain Emily felt. I couldn’t put the book down until I finished it in one sitting the first time I read it. AND I cry every time I have re-read it. You are that invested in the characters that how can you not cry for them! I stumbled on one of Brittney’s Hidden Truths books and I was blown away with every book she has written. She is one of my “One-Click” authors. I devour all her books more than once! She never disappoints!

That was just a mess

Awe!!

This book is awesome and never fails to make me tear up, laugh and say omg!! Love love love this series!

OH.MY.HEART. seriously. no idea how Brittney keeps doing it, but every story she writes just gets better and better!! Liam and Emily are DEFINITELY my favorite couple in the Stealth Ops world. Emily is resistant to continue their "accidental marriage" (that she hardly remembers) due to previous heartbreak, and Liam is certain he's a bad bet - due to previous relationship issues as well as his dangerous job... but they soon realize that what they have is worth the risk involved. this love story is not lacking in steamy heat, or humor - I laughed out loud at parts - but the depth of emotion.... WHOA. Liam and Emily not only brought laughter, but tears, and adding sweet Elaina into the mix completed the picture, perfectly. I read this in just a few hours - and am already ready to read it again. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this fantastic story.

I decided to reread this as I remembered liking Liam, and I'm glad I did. Liam is a "ladies man" and Emily is the sweet attorney that is best friends with Sam. Everyone warns Liam away from her, telling him he's not allowed to mess with her. Emily is attracted to Liam right away (we see these two in previous books, starting with Owen and Sam's story), and Liam is attracted to her also. But he has his issues that keeps him from being serious, until a wild night in Vegas!

I love these two together. Liam is a good guy, he's sweet and caring, and honestly does like Emily. Sure, the women love him, and he loves them, but you don't get that in this book (only previous ones). You see the struggle between the two throughout this novel and really hope they figure it out before making a huge mistake. They work well together, both romantically and in a job. You feel angst at times between them, but also attraction. I really liked these two! Not going to lie, there were some tears later on in the book, but things work out. I'm sure I'll reread it again.
