The writing here is interesting and enjoyable! It was dark, twisted, and captivating. It had me wanting to continue reading!  The twists were so well thought out. Everyone has a motive.

I own this eBook, but decided to listen to the audiobook instead. Maybe it was because the narrator sounded like when you call a company and you have to listen to their automated messages before pressing a number to speak to someone, but this book wasn't doing it for me. The premise was right up my alley, strangers stranded in the wilderness of Canada and have to survive being picked off one by one... someone among them the murderer, in a And Then There Were None type style. But I felt the middle was rushed through just so we could get to the plot twist (which wasn't that much of a twist) earlier. The last two chapters was literally the police explaining how they found out the information and why the killer was the killer. It was strange. I gave this a generous two stars.

I hate writing crappy reviews but I like to be honest about my feelings of a book.

This is... bad. The plot is okay, if a bit cliche, but the prose is actively painful in some places. The dialogue is stilted and unnatural. The descriptions are sometimes mini Wikipedia entries, like the author was literally copying info from an entry while she wrote. The only reason this is a 2 and not a 1 is that it’s charmingly bad, like a really hokey, badly acted Lifetime movie. Also major spoilers for And Then There Were None.
