Another great book in the series - if you read the first three there's no reason to stop now. The formula is pretty predictable at this point but that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable.

I'm so glad we were finally able to get our hands on the audiobook and read this! I loved Marguerite and Shane, and the plot was deliciously twisty. I got so wrapped up in this, and I cannot wait to see what else T. Kingfisher has in store for this series!

The relationships are all pretty similar in these books which is my one complaint; brooding self-doubting paladin and a strong independent love interest

the amount of giggles these books get out of me is unprecedented so I think T Kingfisher may be a wizard. marguerite & shane are not my fave couple but really enjoyed the plot of this one up until about 90%, where it kind of lost steam. however this was the point where the overall intrigue amped up and im keen as a bean for book 5!
