This book was ok but it was pretty sad. This story is about a young boy who has a tumor and his made fun of it.
These kinds of books make me really upset because I know that this happens and it makes lot of people feel insecure about themselves and hate themselves. The overall message of this book was really good despite that the whole book is about the mc getting bullied...

A fantastic true story that is important for, I think, all ages. The is the story of Robert Hodge and his journey with looking different. This would be a great read in companion with Wonder.

This book was well written and easy to read. Robert's voice is humorous and honest. I'm sure it will resonate with kids as it did with me. I will be recommending it at my school library.

This book is like a nonfiction version of Wonder. It would be a great pairing in the classroom. I'm going to use some excerpts for some upcoming minilessons.

This book was recommended to me by my fourth grader and I really enjoyed it. It is an autobiography of Robert Hoge who was born with an enormous tumor on his face that disfigured him and also was born with disfigured legs. He talks about his experiences growing up. It is written for children, but I found it enlightening as an adult reader.
