Still love this book, I don't know how many years later. Cleary knows how to tell it from the point of view of a new kindergartener, with the emotions, misunderstandings, interactions, and imaginings of this realistic, bright, creative girl.

The Baddest Witch in the World is the best Ramona chapter ever. Ms. Cleary had us enthralled with this one from beginning to end. Had to start Ramona the Brave immediately.

This was my pick for the 2018 PopSugar Ultimate Reading Challenge prompt "your favorite prompt from the 2015, 2016, or 2017 PopSugar Reading Challenges." For that choice, I selected the 2017 prompt "a book you loved as a child," which was an unexpected favorite from last year. The Ramona Quimby series was one of my favorites as a kid, and I've had so much fun re-reading them as an adult. I laughed more than once reading this one, which is the second in the series and focuses on Ramona's first year in school. This was probably my second favorite in the series when I was a kid; [b:Ramona Quimby, Age 8|91243|Ramona Quimby, Age 8 (Ramona Quimby #6)|Beverly Cleary|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1356350468s/91243.jpg|3014191] remains in the top spot...but this one is a close second. I'm so glad that this reading challenge has given me a chance to rediscover the joy of reading the Ramona Quimby series -- I love it just as much today as I did when I was a kid!

This was one of my favorite books as a kid. Reading it as an adult is even better.

My kids loved this book, but I didn't care for it. I just have very "meh" feelings about the book. Can't really put my finger on exactly why.

All the Ramona books are a blast to listen to. Stockard Channing is brilliant!
