Felt like a filler book

This was basically a rehash of the first book, but with less substance. Like... we're right back to where we started? It wasn't bad, it just... I'll leave it there.

I know this is likely an unpopular opinion, but I really loved the slang the author created for this era. It really helped me immerse in the "pretty-mindedness" of it all.

It was a bit disappointing how long it took for things to get moving.  I feel like this is the in between filler book before all the stuff happens.

I tried to like it. In fact, I even gave the beginning two stars. But by the time I reached a quarter of the book, I just couldn't read anymore. Maybe I will have to do what I did with Uglies and come back a year later and try to read it.

On the plus side, I did like Zane. Up to where I stopped, he was the only person I could stand.

The scenes where Tally went to the rural tribe that’s been restricted was such a pain to read, oh my goodness! Not bubbly. 0 stars! I loved the scenes with her bubbly mates. Their speech was so hilarious, funny making!
