This thriller was sensational! It had me hooked and reeled in before the first chapter had finished. The plot twist as to whom was behind the kidnappings was mind blowing. I didn't see it coming!!!! It tackles the social issue of the rich/poor divide well and with sensitivity.

The book was extremely well written and descriptive. Like all excellent with lots of twists and turns. The story flowed well and the ending was a bit of a cliffhanger for me so I really hope we get a follow up!

The characters were great. The five kidnapped adult children - Emily, Noah, Jonny, Ashleigh and Zayn - were all interesting. They didn't act like kids brought up in privileges which was actually a really nice experience! The parents - Peter, Cecelia, Theo, Davis and Nadia - were great too. The only one I wasn't too keen on was Theo. He was a bit of a pompous windbag! Alex Czerniak the PI was good. He worked so hard but a bit of a horrible time on occasion. I'm looking at you Mr. Theo Salt! The other characters were great and worked brilliantly in the story.

The book is written in third person. Mostly from Noah and Alex's POVs. There are a few chapters from Nessa's too.

If love a gripping and compelling thriller I recommend this one.

I really enjoyed this book.

A fast paced psychological thriller that keeps you turning the pages. I loved the twists & turns along the way: full of surprises.

The Game is a dark, intense thriller that had me on the edge of my seat throughout.   I really enjoyed the Robin Hood sentiment of the book of taking off the rich to support the poor, I mean hasn't this crossed most peoples minds when we look at what is going on in the world.

I liked the characters in the book and particularly Alex, I would love to read more about him.

There were some dark moments during the story, which gave a rollercoaster of emotions, but it was good to see the character development that these moments then caused.   There were several twists that I didn't see coming, and I will definitely be recommending this.  A thrilling suspenseful story!

Wow!! This takes you on an interesting journey that throws a number of twists and turns your way whilst also challenging you to consider a moral dilemma of sorts 🤔

Initially we're presented with a situation for Noah that really is the stuff of nightmares - waking in somewhere unknown, with no memory and presented with the fact something awful has happened. What happens next seems to be a bit fantastical and would make a fun movie. The addition of politics and the games at play there gives us food for thought and I couldn't help but stop and reflect at various points. Nessa's a wet blanket and I didn't particularly like her but I think she's representative of a system that has been failing for a while and that can change following a series of unfortunate events. She's a product of our messed up society as are a lot of the questionable characters in this.

I hate politics usually so tend to steer clear from them where I can. However, it does add a very interesting element to the story and helps keep the suspense as the parents battle to do what they think is right.

I think most of us would do anything and give anything to protect those closest to us because of the emotional connection we have to our loved ones. Is it logical though as part of a wider context?! 🤔 Could our actions, however noble, set a precedence that could contribute to the further degradation of a failing society?!

A fantastic debut novel by Danny Dagan. This thriller had me wanting to keep reading to find out what happened next.
When the children of five billionaires are kidnapped and held to ransom, their parents are left to fret about how they are going to pay. The group that have kidnapped their children want the parents to take part in a game, where only the parent who pays the most gets their child back, while the others are all returned in coffins. Meanwhile, their children are on a desert island being fully catered for in terms of food, drink and clothing but secrets are revealed to them which change their lives. The question is, who will be returned to the parents?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and enjoyed the twists and turns. Some of the twists I could see coming, but others were complete shocks. Trying to work out who was behind it all was interesting, and I’m sure Danny Dagan put a few red herrings in there to make sure that the reader was misdirected. Overall, it was an enjoyable novel and one that made you think, especially if all of the richest people in the world redistributed some of their wealth, how many people would benefit overall. I look forward to reading Danny’s next book, especially if some of the characters from this book that we’ve come to know are included!

Having received a digital ARC of this book - thank you to the publisher and Love Books Tours - I'm already looking forward to buying a physical version too - it was a brilliant read. One of my favourite things to do when reading a thriller is to introduce the character list for my partner to (unnervingly accurately) guess 'whodunnit' - this one was so close, but the story was so twisty even he didn't get it.

I absolutely loved the premise of a Robin Hood for the modern age, and I thought the author executed this (pun intended) in a really compelling way. The characters were totally believable, and I really enjoyed the development they went through - including side characters. I loved the politicians (first time for everything), and I echo the editor's sentiment in hoping they get brought back in another novel. I will be desperately awaiting a new instalment for as long as it takes!
