What was that ending???
I mean, I knew something was definitely going to happen, but not like that!!

I thought I was safe and in 20 pages everything went down to shit. I'm happy about Xavier, not happy when Darius's father interrupted them. I had been looking forward for that moment for a very long time. And now Tory is back to hating him.

Arrgghhhhh these books are so addictive.

Everything keeps getting better: the plot, the spicy romances, the winx-club-meets-dark-academia drama, the character growth and backstories, the badassery, the comedic moments… dare I say this book was sort of… good??

No. I will never stoop so low. But the world building and plot are developing enough to counter balance some of the core terribleness of the writing itself. The authors have their priorities, and that’s fine, but those priorities often have no impact on driving the plot forward and don’t make the self-gratifying detours worth it.

2.75/5

On principle, no book in this series will ever get more than three stars from me. I still feel like I’m doing a disservice to all of the other three star books I’ve read. Maybe I’ll downgrade this review to a 2.25

Each book honestly just keeps getting better and better!! I am so obsessed with each of the characters and the story line and can't wait to see how everything plays out. Picking up book four immediately.

Darcy and lance have carried this series for me but I have finally climbed aboard the Tory and Darius train I loved them in this book.
