I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was such an easy read, and I had been thinking of buying it for a few months after hearing about it a few times. After watching The Crown, I bought the book and I thought it was brilliant. Fascinating chapters with a few pages of photos in there too. Happy that this started my new year off - Reading something I truly enjoyed.

A very easy read. The narrator speaks simply and honestly, with a voice that is soft and earnest at the same time. The enigmatic life of Anne Glenconner and her family, led erratically by her husband, is one of surprises and wonderful experiences, as told by this author.

Insight into a world few get to experience. Anne Glenconner writes with a forthright honesty that is refreshing.

I do love a good royal tell all, behind the scenes kind of book.

I absolutely loved this book. What an inspiration - she proves that with the right attitude and the right friends you can get through anything. I was expecting an entertaining look at the upper class and was so pleased to find a deeper look at the less talked about aspects of life then.

Incredible story, filled with so many ups and downs and candid moments with members of the royal family. It will give you a different perspective on the aristocratic lifestyle and the unorthodox moments that she had. I would highly recommend this book to anybody who loves The Crown and would be interested in learning more about who Princess Margaret really was off camera.

I'm a total nerd about royals, so this was a fun, easy read! While I enjoyed this book, the writing fell flat for me, even though the stories themselves were fascinating to read.

So fascinating to hear of the life of an aristocrat. She lays bare all her troubles and her amazingly wonderful experiences. It was a different time that she describes and being able to hear her version is equal parts wonder and sorrow. She took the good with the bad and just got on with it - counting her blessings and making lemonade from lemons. Loved her narration! Picked this up after seeing her on Graham Norton and she's hilarious.
