To say that I enjoyed reading this book would be the wrong phrasing; I was gripped by this book, disgusted, scared, it really got under my skin but in a way that made me race through it start to finish. A really unique read that I feel made me a different person by the end of it.

This book is just…not good. The writing isn’t good, the characters are awful, and there’s just rampant transphobia and self loathing on every page. It literally made me sick to read as a trans person myself, it’s like being forced to read hours of a terf forum

I saw someone say that the narration was all over the place. I agree. And I really thought I would love this book, I even thought it would become one of my favorite. But I think it lacked a lot of subtility and I felt like I only liked the house's chapters, and the last part. A lot of people absolutely love it, but it didn't do it for me.
