So much angst and mutual pining. Usually this totally works for me, but in this case, I got really uncomfortable with how consent was handled. No means no, and should always really mean no. I don't find it sexy when one character decides it just means he has to work harder to break down another character's objections. This felt a bit predatory at times, and includes an imbalance of power in the dynamic.
This is another case where some honest conversations at an early point would have avoided all the drama in the book. This kind of lack of communication is just not romantic to me.
Spoiler
Levi should have just quit as manager and their problems would be over. He could have still assisted whoever his replacement was as far as keeping the peace in the band. Also, I don't buy the twin mixup storyline. This is another case where some honest conversations at an early point would have avoided all the drama in the book. Was this book as good as [b:Halo|44107399|Halo (Fallen Angel, #1)|Ella Frank|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1551045830l/44107399._SY75_.jpg|68308525] and [b:Viper|44288396|Viper (Fallen Angel #2)|Brooke Blaine|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1552119394l/44288396._SX50_.jpg|68308698]? No. but I was waiting for killian and levi's story for far too long. They were not halo and viper but I loved them as well.
The Fallen Angel series is one of my favs and Brooke and Ella have delivered another winner with this latest release!
Killian always intrigued me and I loved reading his and Levi’s story.
Levi is the manager of Fallen Angel and finds himself very conflicted when he realises how much he’s attracted to the band’s bassist, Killian.
When Killian realises how attractive their new manager is, he starts on a mission to get what he really wants, Levi.
Killian really won me over in this book and I love how he always finds Viper to confide in.
I highly recommend this book and the entire series!

LUST. HATE. LOVE is book four in the Fallen Angel series by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine. If I could sum up the way this book had me feeling in one word, it would be ultimate. Because that explains the experience simply and effectively. I have loved this series since the beginning and did not think it could get better. I was so typically wrong. Not only did it get better, it was beyond everything I expected and more than I could possibly dream it could be. Authors that are capable of wringing every single emotion, every single feeling, every single thought, every single moment that entirely and perfectly are extremely rare. Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine not only rendered me speechless (almost impossible to do), they simply took my breath away. I became one with Killian and Levi. I was living their lives right there with them. I had to keep reminding myself to breathe. Their story was a beautiful complication with one simple need. Each other. Their journey was seamless brilliance. They fought. They connected. They shone. Together. An astonishing and captivating story and one which owns my heart eternally. 5 stars.
I wasn’t going to read this one because I fell hard for Halo and Viper.
But…
Damn you, Killian.
But…
Damn you, Killian.
Where to start with this book, it is hot as hell and sprinkled with love and lust and hate. Levi and Killian match each other perfectly they push and sometimes fall short of each other’s expectation but that is real life. This book made me cry, and laugh out loud a few time’s especially with the banter of all the band together. It was an amazing end to another great series and I cannot wait for the next series soon.
This was cute but I feel like Killian & Levi deserved more than one book just sayin
4.5 stars!
A great end to this entertaining series. I've been waiting for Killian and Levi's book ever since we got the teaser for it in the third book.
Killian and Levi are immediately attracted to each other, and Killian and Levi kiss at that party, but Levi has rules, rules he doesn't cross. Like sleeping with a client.
But Killian knows that Levi is as attracted to him as he is to Levi. And he flirts when he can and Levi tries to ignore it, but Killian can't be ignored for long.
When the band goes on tour in Australia, Killian and Levi become closer, enough that they eventually give in to temptation.
Levi swears it's just lust, but then he breaks all his rules to be with Killian, so it isn't just lust. But what happened to Levi at the start of his career has made it hard for him to trust that Killian won't hurt him.
But Killian doesn't give up, and he's determined to show Levi that he's the man for him, and that he's serious about it being more than a casual hookup.
These two were hot and sweet together, and I enjoyed their scene together a lot.
My only complain, and why I took .5 off, is that the ending felt rushed. I don't know if this could have gone another book, but them finally getting together for good at the end to the epilogue with them having their HEA felt a little abrupt and too fast. I still enjoyed it for what it was, but wish it hadn't been so rushed.
Overall, though, a great book. I always love these two authoring together. I can't wait for their next venture!
Also, last book read of 2019...pretty awesome book to end the year with. Woot woot!

Full review tomorrow but that was a hell of a send off for Fallen Angel.

I've always been fascinated by Killian, the cool as a cucumber, sexy as all out bass player (and just what IS it about bass players, they're usually ultra sexy imho) and now Ella and Brooke give the reader his happy ending.
And what an ending, a fight from start to finish to prove to manager Levi that there was more to them than just insane chemistry.
I loved every bit of this spicy book with surprisingly loads of feels, although Halo and Viper right got on my wick in this one with their arsey ways
