I sometimes find it difficult to rate youth graphic novels, as it can be a challenge to get past what I find as a shortcoming versus what a young reader would find as a shortcoming.

As far as young readers go, I think this will be enjoyable. Heck, as far as adults go, it was somewhat enjoyable.

It has humor -sometimes overdone for me but just right for kids- it tackles the issue of bullying, though without anything resembling a realistic resolution, it's colorful, cutely designed, and is, really, sort of charming how the main character isn't a professional at saving the world by any means. It should also be said that there is a moral to the story that is worth spreading and that is, it's best to be true to yourself.

My issue, that kids possibly won't take notice of, is how it came to be that Zack built and hid a giant, robotic machine without his parents (who are, admittedly, a little spacey) noticing and most likely without having the technical know-how. If you can get past this, and I recommend that you do, the rest won't bother you.
