This is the Black Prince. This is blood. This is death. Men killing men. Killing women. Killing children. Burning and killing. This is plague. This is dysentery and diarrhea. This is the plunder of burning cities. The screams of the trapped and the dying. The camera eye that does not flinch. That conceals nothing. The visceral and the gruesome. Humanity stripped of pageantry and poetry. Before the eyes of God. In the name of Christ. We are not spared. There is no sanctity. There is blood. There is death. We become lost in the places. In the time. We become it. The filth and the blood. The humanity. It is an experience. This is the Black Prince.
