Some of the most beautiful and realistic character writing I’ve ever read. I loved the network of characters, and the care taken to flesh out both the network and the characters themselves. Incredibly compelling and engaging writing.

This isn’t the type of book I would usually pick up so my expectations were non existent but I guess I liked it enough to finish it.

I can’t sympathize or empathize with making stupid decisions (like choosing to marry someone you met six months ago) so I had a hard time caring about Cleo’s struggles.
I wasn’t invested in any of the characters and don’t understand what this book is trying to say. There was no real story, you’re just following the lives of a few different people.

I see the appeal, it’s just not for me
